CLIL

Nowadays there are more and more schools that are bilingual or that have a bilingual section. In both cases, non-linguistic subjects(although all subjects imply the use of language) are taught using a foreign language; this is known as CLIL(Content and Language integrated Learning).
In this way subjects such as Science, Maths, Arts or Music are taught using a foreign language as vehicular language. A more specific definition of what CLIL is can be found in David Marsh words:
'CLIL refers to situations where subjects, or parts of subjects, are taught through a foreign language with dual-focused aims, namely the learning of content, and the simultaneous learning of a foreign language'.
In this section of the blog we will include information and materials related to CLIL.

--- In our first post on CLIL we suggest a reading about CLIL from the very beginning of education, kindergarten. Check out the following link and know a little more about this very interesting part of education.
